Our client is looking for an experience data cabling engineer who has worked on a wide range of cabling and hardware products. A three-month contract which could go to permanent for the right candidate.
The role responsibilities:
- Travelling across the North East.
- Work involves visiting various schools
- An understanding and appreciation of health and safety practices
- Onsite installation of data cabling project and associated hardware
- Providing excellent customer service and support
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Working collaboratively with contractors on site where necessary
- Basic knowledge of networking equipment including switches and WiFi access points
- Installation, termination and testing of copper cabling
- Fibre optic cabling
- Cabling containment
The person we’re looking for:
- Enhanced DBS is essential
- IPAF/ PASMA certified is essential
- ECS is essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience of installation, termination and testing of copper cabling
- Experience of installation, termination and testing of fibre optic cabling
- Experience of installation of cabling containment solutions
- Experienced at the correct and safe use of power tools
