Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North-East and are looking for an experienced, Time-served Electrical Biased Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machinery and equipment, with a focus on Siemens PLCs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
Qualifications:
- Completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in fault finding and troubleshooting on PLCs.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- City and Guilds electrical testing and inspection 2391 – Desirable
- 18th Edition or above in Electrical regulation – Desirable
